1) About reviews on INFIRISK
Reviews are an important part of helping the fire safety and building compliance community make informed decisions about service providers. All reviews on INFIRISK are verified — only clients who have completed work with a business through the platform can leave a review.
2) Eligibility
To leave a review on INFIRISK, you must:
- Have an active INFIRISK account
- Have submitted a job where a proposal from the business was accepted
- Have marked the job as completed
Eligibility is verified automatically by the platform. You will only see the option to leave a review when these conditions are met.
3) What makes a good review
Good reviews help other users make informed decisions. We encourage reviews that:
- Reflect your genuine experience of the work carried out
- Are specific about what was done and how it went
- Are fair and honest, whether positive or negative
- Stay focused on the professional service you received
Both a star rating (1–5) and written content are required when submitting a review.
4) Review standards
All reviews must comply with our Community Guidelines. In addition, reviews must not:
- Be about work that was not completed through INFIRISK
- Be motivated by a personal dispute unrelated to the professional service
- Be offered, solicited, or submitted in exchange for payment, discounts, or other incentives
- Be submitted by someone with a connection to the business being reviewed (employees, family members, business partners)
- Be used to extort, threaten, or pressure the business into providing free or discounted work
5) Moderation
Reviews are checked against our content standards before they appear on the platform. This includes automated language screening and may include human review by our team. Reviews that do not meet our standards will be rejected, and we will provide an explanation of the reason.
6) Business responses
Business owners can respond publicly to any review of their business. This allows businesses to provide context, address concerns, or thank reviewers. Responses must be professional and comply with our Community Guidelines. Each review may receive one response from the business.
7) Challenging a review
If a business believes a review should be removed, they can submit a formal challenge. Valid grounds for a challenge include:
- The review is factually incorrect
- The reviewer was never a genuine customer
- The review constitutes competitive sabotage
- The review otherwise violates our policies
Challenges are reviewed by our team. Possible outcomes include: the review is upheld (no action taken), the review is removed, or the reviewer is invited to edit their review. We aim to resolve challenges within 15 business days.
8) Reporting a review
Any INFIRISK user can report a review they believe is spam, inappropriate, fake, or involves a conflict of interest. Reports are reviewed by our team and appropriate action will be taken.
9) Review removal
INFIRISK may remove a review if it:
- Violates our Community Guidelines
- Is confirmed as fake or fraudulent
- Is subject to a successful challenge by the business
- Is required to be removed by law or court order
We do not remove reviews simply because they are negative. Negative reviews that reflect genuine experience and comply with our guidelines will remain on the platform.
10) Rate limits
To maintain review quality and prevent abuse, users are limited to submitting 10 reviews per day.
11) Contact
For questions or disputes about reviews, contact us at hello@infirisk.co.uk. If you are not satisfied with the outcome, you can escalate via our Complaints Procedure.
