Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: 9 April 2026
1) About this policy
This Acceptable Use Policy supplements our Terms of Service. It sets out how you may and may not use the INFIRISK platform. For rules about the content you create and share, see our Community Guidelines.
2) Permitted use
The INFIRISK platform is provided for legitimate business and professional use in the fire safety and building compliance industry. You may use it to:
- Manage compliance records and premises information
- Find or offer professional services through our directory
- Publish industry news articles and knowledge
- Participate in community channels
- Manage business operations, subscriptions, and billing
- Leave and respond to verified reviews
3) Prohibited conduct
You must not:
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other users' accounts, our systems, or data that you are not permitted to access
- Use automated tools — including bots, scrapers, and crawlers — to access or interact with the platform without our prior written permission
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to extract the source code of the platform
- Circumvent, disable, or interfere with security measures, rate limits, or access controls
- Share your login credentials with others or allow anyone else to use your account
- Create multiple accounts to evade restrictions, manipulate features, or inflate engagement metrics
- Interfere with or disrupt the normal operation of the platform or other users' experience
- Use the platform to send unsolicited bulk communications (spam)
- Upload, transmit, or distribute malware, viruses, or any other malicious code
- Exploit security vulnerabilities in the platform instead of reporting them to us responsibly
- Use the platform for money laundering, fraud, or any other illegal purpose
- Scrape, bulk-download, or systematically collect user data, listings, or content from the platform
4) Token and credit system integrity
The INFIRISK token credit system must be used as intended. You must not manipulate the token system, exploit bugs or errors for unearned credits, create fraudulent transactions, or abuse refund mechanisms. Suspicious activity may be investigated and may result in account suspension or termination.
5) Fair usage
Reasonable limits apply to platform features including API usage, file uploads, messaging volume, and content publishing. Specific limits depend on your subscription tier and are described in the relevant feature documentation.
If you consistently exceed fair usage limits, we may throttle your access to affected features or contact you to discuss your usage. We will aim to give reasonable notice before taking action unless the usage is causing harm to other users or the platform.
6) Security and responsible disclosure
If you discover a security vulnerability in the INFIRISK platform, we ask that you report it to us at hello@infirisk.co.uk rather than exploiting it or disclosing it publicly before we have had a chance to address it.
We appreciate responsible disclosure and will not take adverse action against users who report security issues in good faith, provided they have not accessed other users' data, caused damage to the platform, or otherwise acted beyond what was necessary to identify the vulnerability.
7) Enforcement
We may investigate suspected violations of this policy and take action as appropriate, including:
- Issuing a warning
- Restricting access to specific features
- Temporarily suspending your account
- Permanently terminating your account
- Reporting the matter to law enforcement where required or appropriate
We aim to be proportionate in our response. Minor or first-time violations will typically receive a warning before further action is taken.
8) Reporting violations
If you believe another user is violating this policy, please contact us at hello@infirisk.co.uk with details of the conduct and any supporting evidence. We will investigate all reports and take appropriate action.
If you are not satisfied with how we handle a report, see our Complaints Procedure.
